Avago Technologies is headquartered in San Jose, Calif., and Singapore, and currently employs 6,500 people, including 1,000 analog circuit design engineers. Avago Technologies has a history of more than 35 years in Asia. Currently, about three-quarters of its employees are located in Asia, and most of its products are also produced in Asia. Avago Technologies' investment in Asia is closer to the needs of its customers and the global electronics supply chain. In addition, Avago Technologies has strong design and product development resources around the world, with six design centers in Asia, four design centers in the US, and two design centers in Europe. In December 2013, Avago acquired LSI for $6.6 billion, which became a new part of the enterprise storage market. After the alliance, the company generated at least $5 billion in annual revenue.
